acenti/decora converterAuthor: Chuck Posted Date: 8/17/2011 1:02:20 PM I have Acenti devices everywhere in my house, Love them, they are great.
However near my front door I have a four gang box with four acenti switches in it. I would like to replace one of the switches with a timer so that my front porch lights turn on and off on their own. THe timer I have is decora size. Do they make some sort of filler that i can use to make the decora sized timer fit into an acenti plate?
Thank

Put the Finishing Touch on Your Home TheaterAuthor: Chris B Posted Date: 2/4/2009 11:24:26 AM
As I've discussed in a previous entry or two, PowerBridge Solution is an incredibly cost-effective way to install wall mounted HDTVs, Flat Screen Plasma, Flat Panel LCD, and Projectors. PowerBridge alone tackles a huge aesthetic concern - TV power cords hanging down in front of the wall.
But this probably isn't the only "appearance" problem you want to solve. There's an additional way to make your home theater finally look like a home theater.
Leviton Acenti devices, especially Onyx colored, can create a great ambient atmosphere that'll enhance any room. They have Soft Fade ON/OFF controls and a soothing indigo blue light on switches themselves. By placing your TV screen in front of dimmer-controlled lighting, you can actually lessen eye strain because of the additional light source. Your theater room will also be substantially more inviting, more luxurious, and will set the mood for any shows or movies you decide to watch. Acenti and Decora Color MatchesAuthor: Chris B Posted Date: 10/7/2008 4:25:21 PM
I've encountered a number of customers wanting to know about similarities between Acenti and Decora colors. They have different names, of course, but most of the color tones are virtually the same. They're so close that only an unusually discerning person could ever detect any difference.
Here's a table I made for quick and easy reference:
|
Acenti (matte finish) |
Decora (glossy finish) |
|
Alabaster |
White |
|
Natural |
Almond |
|
Onyx |
Black |
|
Slate |
Gray |
|
Driftwood |
Ivory |
|
Sand |
Natural (slightly lighter and more yellow) |
|
Quartz (more pinkish hue) |
Natural |
|
Cocoa |
Brown |

Installing a Leviton 4-Way Dimmer with RemotesAuthor: Chris B Posted Date: 9/4/2008 12:15:19 PM
We've had a whole heap of questions this month about Leviton dimmer set ups. One of the big questions that I'd like to address - which switch should someone have in the 4-way position when using an ATE06-1LE Acenti dimmer?
You would team this dimmer with two AT00R-1LE Acenti remotes (also called "slave" units). So here there is a total of three switches. By using this particular remote model number, you're getting two matching remotes that look identical to the ATE06-1LE. You also need to make sure everything is set up correctly with these Acenti switches. Any installer should always:
- Have a neutral wire at all switch locations.
- Know the proper location for the dimmer in this operation. The dimmer needs to feed to the load.
For more info, I'd recommended reading through Leviton's installation manual for Acenti devices here. Diagram 10 on Page 11 lays out this 4-way setup in good detail.
Just a note here as well. I'm using the catalog numbers for Leviton's new Acenti line. The original Acenti devices in this case are ACE06-1LE (dimmer) and ACE06-1LE (remotes). These original devices are being phased out pretty quickly, but OneStopBuy.com has been purchasing these and will keep doing so for as long as we possibly can. Head over to the site and buy now if you require the previous design! It's difficult to say how long they'll last. Latest Changes to Leviton's Acenti Dimmer LineAuthor: Chris B Posted Date: 8/8/2008 4:14:19 PM
Acenti dimmers have changed! It's not an enormous deal but something we'd like to inform new and returning customers about. There has basically been an outward change to Acenti's appearance; nothing in the line's technical design has changed, just the look.
Because of this, Leviton will eventually be replacing all original Acenti dimmer models with the updated look. Once the new design is in place, it will of course become the default that will appear in our online Leviton catalog.
The good news is that we've bought up as much of these old stock dimmers and remotes as we could. OneStopBuy.com is encouraging customers, especially those who need consistency in renovation projects they may have already started, to take the opportunity to purchase the original design before it is discontinued.
We now have both the Original and New designs available for purchase:
